ClearContracts™ EOB Pro uses state of the art OCR technology to automate the paper to 835 process. Information from your in-house scanning operations, lockbox, and/or patient billing are combined with ANSI crosswalks to achieve optimum correlation.
Concuity works with your in-house document imaging system or lockbox to ensure remittance (EOB) images are:
- Imported into an image storage database
- Translated into the ANSI 835 format and reconciled to the amount deposited by batch or check
- The 835s are then forwarded to the provider for posting EOB Pro offers a complete feature set and highly scalable technology that makes it easy to automatically process paper Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms
- Processes EOBs and remittances from any payer
- Reads all data items from each patient record
- Handles multiple patients per page and multiple page EOBs
- Auto-sorts and automatically handles attachments and bank lockbox batches
- Exports data to any other application including any ODBC-compliant database
- Produces, if necessary, a posting file that is in a format other than an 835
- All data extracted from the EOB will be balanced at all levels, including service line, patients, EOB, check and batch
- All payment remittance files, both electronic and paper, are reconciled before they are sent to the provider for posting
