Patrick McGlynn, Managing Director, Payment Integrity Compass
As Managing Director, Mr. McGlynn oversees current and prospective member relations for the Payment Integrity Compass cohort. Within his role, Mr. McGlynn works with partner hospitals and health systems to evolve the integration of people, process and technology with existing business processes in response to the increasingly complex world of hospital reimbursement. Additionally, Mr. McGlynn identifies prospective member hospitals to augment the cohort while also supporting the development of strategic best practices and deliverables to ensure that we are serving the objectives of partner institutions. Building on a career started at Exxon and Koch Industries, Mr. McGlynn has spent the last 10 years of his professional life consulting on best practice implementation, spending time at The Corporate Executive Board prior to joining The Advisory Board Company. This background provides him with a breadth of experience around implementing successful strategies within organizations and ensuring that these strategies are effective in driving success and increasing efficiency. Mr. McGlynn is a graduate of Clemson University.
Braden Decker, Senior Director
Mr. Decker is responsible for driving a significant portion of Concuity’s new sales and business development and efforts across the nation. He has held several key management roles at Concuity in the areas of client services, new business development, project management and strategic product planning. Mr. Decker joined Concuity in 2000 with over 15 years of experience in healthcare information technology. Prior to joining Concuity, Mr. Decker was with IDX System Corporation where he held several leadership positions. Mr. Decker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Tabor College and an MBA from the University of Kansas.
David Huffman, Senior Director
Mr. Huffman works both directly with our members to identify and implement process improvements, as well as with the product development team to evolve the product to better serve member needs. His 20 years of experience on both the provider and vendor side of hospital financial management make him an invaluable resource in this regard. In his eleven year career at The North Carolina Baptist Hospitals Inc, Mr. Huffman served as the Director of Financial Services and Managed Care for five years, managing a portfolio of 50 contracts. Mr. Huffman went on to further develop his expertise in payer compliance as the Vice President of Client Relationships at Concuity until its acquisition by The Advisory Board Company in 2010. This background provides Mr. Huffman with a robust knowledge of strategies to ensure payer compliance, and is able to call on his deep experience in helping to serve Payment Integrity Compass members today. Mr. Huffman holds an MBA from The University of North Carolina.
Andrew Zech, Director
Mr. Zech is responsible for sharing research, best practices and case studies from the Payment Integrity Compass cohort with hospitals around the country, while also assessing whether hospitals should be candidates for inclusion in the member cohort. Specifically, Mr. Zech works directly with business teams to assess areas of opportunity, provide benchmark results and best practice insights and assists with the integration of Payment Integrity Compass into current processes and procedures. In his time at The Advisory Board Mr. Zech has become an expert across the revenue cycle, leading the development of best practice responses to evolving areas of concern, including RAC and MIC audits and, more recently, bundled payments and other aspects of payment reform. Mr. Zech completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Pennsylvania and his postgraduate studies at Georgetown University.
Kristin Yakimow, General Manager
Ms. Yakimow has more than 15 years of domestic and international experience in marketing, general management, and new product development in health care. Prior to Concuity, Ms. Yakimow was the vice president of marketing at VISICU, a telehealth company. Additionally, she has held positions of increasing responsibility at GE Healthcare including general manager of marketing for the Americas monitoring and diagnostic cardiology business, general manager of Asian commercial operations, global integration manager for new acquisitions, and general manager of GE’s cardiovascular information systems business. Ms. Yakimow began her career in new product development at Medtronic. She holds a Master of Science degree from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University.
